BLenD magazine asked me and Lucy in 2009 to make a series of images to celebrate the Levi's 501 jeans on its 100th anniversary. They asked us to create a story about the evolution of the 501. We took it very literary and showed the evolution of life. In the picture we see humans evolving. It took us a while to figure out how Lucy should place herself on my body to create a figure with really long arms.
LucyandBart is a collaboration between artists Lucy McRae and Bart Hess. The ad hoc duo work close to the body, and their mode of operation is impulsive; they generate ambiguous images depicting our skin as an interface between our self and the world.
